A Quick Note to Tell You Where I Am
I am where I never wanted to be.
Hello friends, life took a turn for us a week ago and I’m still reeling from it. My husband of 65 years and the love of my life is about to leave me. He went to the ER with pneumonia symptoms and the Xray showed a large mass on his lung. He was already weak, has sepsis, and is not going to recover.
He is at home under Hospice care, and under my care. I’ll be away for a while. I didn’t expect it to happen this soon, but I knew he was failing, so I’ve been prepared. We had a grand time together and not everyone gets to share life with their love for such a long time. I’m so lucky.
Just wanted you to know why I haven’t been around. I will be back. I’ve turned off comments for now. I’m sorry. I just don’t have the heart or the time to respond. I know your thoughts are with me.
