Everything Trump Orders Must be Challenged.
Nothing good has ever come from him and nothing ever will. Action comes next.
I’ll get right to it and ask these questions, already knowing the answers: Since noon on January 20, 2025, when was the last time—or even the first time—Donald Trump and his regime did anything that didn’t cause deliberate harm to the majority of Americans? When has he ever done anything because it was the right thing, the legal thing, the constitutional thing to do? Without being forced?
The time for hoping he and his henchmen/women will stop doing deliberate damage is over. If anything, they’ve gotten worse, and that won’t change as long as they keep getting away with it. Every federal department has moved away from service to Americans and is now an engine for threats, dereliction, retribution, pain, harm, and profit for the already rich.
A government of the people, by the people, and for the people, our national hope, is no longer even close to reality. It’s barely even a thought anymore. Those of us who care about our country watch this every day and wonder what will finally stop the madness. Since only a few have any control and none of it lies with US, all we seem to be able to do is get loud.
Our voices, our horns, our signs, our keyboards are our only ammunition, and, while we’re getting louder and bolder and it’s clear our numbers are growing, we’re not the rich nor are we the powerful. We have no leverage inside a government that uniformly hates us, that keeps building strength and finds no end of ways to cause us pain.
Yet we keep on going.
That’s our only strength: despite it all, we keep on going. With each new atrocity—the latest being the murder of Renee Nicole Good by a foul-mouthed trigger-happy ICE agent with no real reason or even authority to be in that place where he could shoot an innocent woman three times in the head and run away to live his life as if nothing had happened because he is a Trump follower—those of us who find such an act outrageous and lawless cannot let it go. Signs are pointing to not letting it go.
The next time something like this happens—and it will—we’ll be on it. Fewer of us will turn away. The momentum is building. Trump is moaning out loud about people not liking him. He knows he’s losing and he’s getting more and more desperate. More and more dangerous. But we know this.
The lies coming non-stop from Trump and his regime are outlandish fictions, tired and lame. They’re showing wear and tear.
The truth is out there, ever-present, jack-hammering the lies away. Witnesses, videos, audios, documents, exposes, confessions, leaks…they can’t hide from them. They can only tell more lies. They can only spread more propaganda. And lies and propaganda are no longer enough. We’ve seen it all. We’ve heard it all.
We’re on to them. We know them all too well. We’ve been watching these actions and these characters for decades, and while the plots thicken and the lies balloon, the characters are still the same evil characters they’ve always been. They’re out in the open now. Braver. Getting cocky. They’re so sure they’ll get away with it all they don’t even try to obscure their real intentions.
They’re out to get us and they’re doing a good job of it. There’s power behind them and they’ve made our worst nightmares come true. We weren’t ready for this—Congress, the courts, the mainstream press, big money—all of them have turned against us and given their souls to an evil, Nazi-like lunatic and the regime building behind him.
This, in our America. It’s harrowing, it’s horrifying, it’s exhausting. Yet here we are, working to fight back. Against all odds. With almost no chance. There’s nothing on the horizon that signifies any real success. The Supreme Court, the one court in the land that should be working in our favor, has caved to Trumpism in such a way and with such a majority we don’t expect anything else.
We keep getting batted around in ways that are causing real harm, yet we keep on keeping on. Even me. I’ve been in a funk lately, not wanting to write about any of this, knowing It’s just more howling in the wind. But eventually the winds will turn our way and we’ll be heard.
I’m seeing signs. Real signs. Change is in the wind. This could be our year. This MUST be our year. We can’t stop now. And we can’t wait. Waiting for the midterms is waiting too long. Waiting, hoping, wishful thinking is what got us here. Now we must concentrate on actions. No more guessing, no more analyzing, no more repeating the obvious: this is who they are, this is what they’re planning, this is what they’ve already done, this is why they’re doing what they’re doing. We know all that now. On to the second phase: What are we going to do about it?
The Democrats have to be the adults now. Put the pressure on THEM. I don’t say this lightly, me being a life-long member of my party and possibly their biggest cheerleader, but come on… They’ve either been silent or cowardly or—my god—showing signs of giving in and joining up. We need strength. We need leaders. The few who react and complain are…few. Where are our leaders? That’s our next step. Finding leaders who know how to lead. Then we find the oppositions’ Achilles heels. Donald Trump and his regime have them. It’s their protectors who keep us from getting at them. They must go, too.
The world is watching. We owe it to them to show some American gumption. We had that once. We can find it again.

Your assessment is quite thoughtful. You are right the world is watching. Sadly your system is quite dysfunctional. You have no opposition leader between elections.
I share your outrage, Ramona! NOTHING! trump has done precisely NOTHING for the average American - except make life a lot harder. People need to be calling elected officials in congress and senate demanding they work for them and not for the billionaires!
Keep sharing your outrage - it may mobilize others!
