I truly love this post. Thank you thank you thank you for writing it. I find it extremely frustrating how compartmentalized our society is by age group and I think we’d all do better if we interacted more - young and old.

Thank YOU. Yes, we're all in this together. And we all have value.

Absolutely! There’s nothing I love more than seeing my kids with their grandparents. And not because they spoil them but because they expose them to so many thoughts and ideas they would otherwise miss. Your writing is wry and witty, by the way. I checked out a couple of other posts and really enjoyed them all. Subscribed.

Great stuff. I am a wee lad of 65 now. But the young folks tag me "Old timer" too. One thing I've noticed is that we become invisible when we get old. Young people don't really see us anymore. Their eyes are trained to see the shiny new things, the beautiful people, and to ignore all the rest (us). When I was a kid, I thought it would be great to have the power to become invisible, but now, they have the power to make me invisible, and I can't undo it. I only wanted the power if I could control it myself.

Thanks, Carl. I guess we'll just have to get louder!
