Great article Mona. Matt and I were just talking about how we are ready to make another trip up to the Keweenaw. Maybe next summer . . . we can dream about going on trips again in the future right? Also, now I want a pasty. I do make them occasionally -sometimes a modified version in just a store bought frozen pie crust baked as one big pie (my mom did that too). I made them once from scratch with my Grandma when she came to Albuquerque for Christmas. It's a special memory.
I love going up there with you and uncle Ed. When I was young, it was jut a place to go and see my family and I never realized how beautiful it was. You have showed me so much and told me such great stories of what the Keweenaw is all about and I have come to love it as an adult. There is a personal, warm feeling I get when I pass over from Houghton to Hancock on the bridge and I’m there. I’ll see you there next year. ❤️
